The Business Analyst serves as a crucial link between our information technology capabilities and our business objectives. This role involves gathering and documenting requirements, establishing success criteria for features, and fully understanding the program’s domain.

Location: Miami, FL

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • At least 2 years of experience as a business analyst, with a track record of effective functional specifications.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proactive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Solid analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in PowerBI, Tableau, and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business or Information Technology

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish

  • Experience in the financial services or payments industry

  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA)

  • Proficiency in data analytics and business intelligence tools

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions on system features from both business and technical perspectives.

  • Document system requirements, interfaces, and reporting needs comprehensively.

  • Translate business needs into technical specifications.

  • Prepare detailed specifications for features/releases, clearly defining problems, goals, and acceptance criteria.

  • Develop and deliver both ad hoc and standard reports as needed.

  • Establish domain expertise in system specifications, including third-party vendor certifications.

  • Evaluate and improve business processes, anticipating requirements and uncovering areas for improvement.

  • Stay updated on the latest IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.

  • Conduct productive meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

  • Perform user acceptance testing and assist in developing test cases to ensure alignment with requirements.

  • Manage competing resources and priorities efficiently.
